Registered Nurse: Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum

Location: Mission Hills, California Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Date: ASAP

Schedule

• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 to 07:30)
• 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
• On-call required

Unit and Staffing

• Ratio: 1:4
• Float scope: Rotational within division only, to competency

  • L&D for recoveries
  • NICU to assist as directed with feeding, soothing, and changing babies

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Post Partum experience (1 year)
• Post Partum experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
• Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (NRP) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience working with high-risk OB patients
• Experience with magnesium sulfate postpartum care

Clinical Focus

• Experience with high-risk obstetric patients and magnesium sulfate postpartum care

Candidate Criteria

• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted
• Does not accept pending licenses
• Return-to-operations (RTO) restrictions must be noted at time of submittal

Facility Overview

• Acute care hospital, Magnet facility
• 377 staffed beds
• Scrubs: any color; L/D and OR provided
• Charting in Epic
