Clinical Nurse Supervisor (RN)

Location: Eloy, Arizona Employment Type: Health Services, Travel Contract Length: 4 months Shift: Days, with a 36-hour guarantee. Open availability is expected per the scheduling policy. Hours: 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week

Role Summary

Reports to the Warden/Facility Administrator or Health Service Administrator for daily clinical operations within the medical department. Supervises nursing and non-licensed health care providers, including training, performance evaluations, scheduling, leave approval, and corrective action. Provides direct patient care within scope of licensure, performs triage and physical assessments, and covers short-staffed periods as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor nursing care provided by licensed vocational/practical nursing staff and non-licensed medical staff
• Perform and direct emergency care, execute physician orders, dispense and administer medications, and perform intakes
• Monitor inpatient hospitalizations, catastrophic illnesses, and the appropriateness of medical services
• Audit pharmacy use and controlled substance compliance
• Maintain medical records, reports, and logs, and assist with accreditation of the medical program (NCCHC/ACA/JCAHO)
• Prepare safety and accident reports and respond to serious incidents and emergencies

Required Qualifications

• At least 1 year of clinical supervisory experience
• Graduate of an accredited college, university, or nursing program with a degree or diploma in nursing
• Current licensure in the state of employment
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• Corrections experience (strongly preferred)
• One year of professional nursing experience
