RN Step Down

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin Employment type: LTA Contract length: 13 weeks Schedule: 07:00 - 19:30 (every other weekend; every other holiday)

Role Details

Placement is on a PCU or Med/Surg/Telemetry unit, based on where the greatest need is and the traveler's skills.
Will accept an M/S or Step Down RN. Both skills use the same credentialing.
Float to other units within the traveler's skill set onsite, or to sites within 40 miles if needed.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Wisconsin
2 years of stepdown experience, or PCU / Med-Surg Telemetry acute care experience
Stepdown experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
NIHSS certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
Driver's license

Optional or Conditional

Unit-specific checklist: optional for onboarding, but the unit leader must upload it within one week
Positive PPD: if a PPD is positive, a negative chest X-ray within the past year is needed with the TB questionnaire
Legal documentation of a name change, if applicable
