Location: New Haven, Connecticut Employment Type: Travel/Contract Facility Type: Short-term acute care, Level I Trauma Center, 1,567 total staffed beds

Assignment Details

• Contract Length: 10 weeks, winter coverage only
• Start Date: ASAP; must start by 12/18/2026
• Shift: Night, 3 x 12-hour shifts (19:00 to 7:00)
• Hours: 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
• Guaranteed Hours: Yes
• Ratios: Average 1:4
• Weekends: Every other weekend
• On-Call: Not required
• Float: May float within scope to meet facility needs
• Schedule: Open to accommodating a block schedule
• Local Radius: Restrictions waived for the 10-week assignment
• Time Off: No holiday time off; no more than 5 days of time off

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Connecticut
• Stepdown (1.5 years of experience)
• Stepdown experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred

• Strong preference for travel experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Tdap vaccination within 10 years (highly preferred, not required; declination is acceptable)
• COVID vaccine series, if previously received (preferred)

Not Required for This Unit

• NIH Stroke Certification and Stroke Education (not required for the pediatric population)
• PALS certification
• eCart Training Module
• Mobile Heartbeat Alarm Module (not required for pediatrics)
