Registered Nurse - MS/Tele

Location: San Leandro, California Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Day, 3x12-hour shifts (11:00 to 23:30), 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week Weekends: Every other weekend On Call: None Float: As needed to other MS/Tele units

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California, current and unencumbered
1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, with experience within the last year
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
BLS issued by the American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
Peripheral line/care management

Onboarding Requirements

Background and Identity: Photo ID (driver's license or passport) with a clearly visible color photo; passport-style badge photo; background check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and education verification, all within 90 days of start
Health: Physical exam within 90 days; Tdap within 10 years (or signed declination); TB screening (IGRA or two PPDs) and TB questionnaire, both updated annually; proof of two MMR vaccinations (measles, mumps, rubella) and two varicella vaccinations, or positive IgG titers; Hepatitis B positive titer or signed declination; color blind exam within 90 days; flu vaccination or declination during flu season
Drug Screen: Oral saliva drug screen within 30 days of start; rapid tests not accepted
Fit Testing: Fit test within 90 days using an acceptable mask (3M 8210, 3M 1860, or 3M 1860S)
Competencies: Facility modules and competencies due on the first day of the contract; a medication/pharmacology competency exam and competency exam may be required
Work History: Current resume covering the last 7 years of employment; verification of the past 3 years of employment
Other: Orientation safety manual acknowledgement; medical and employee information release form
