• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Missouri
• Registered Respiratory Therapist with 2 years of experience
• Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NRP
• PALS
• Experience working with neonate patients
• Experience working with pediatric patients
• Experience in a critical care setting
• Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory care interventions, technical skills, and procedures
• Assists physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
• Assesses patient and family needs (physical, psychosocial, and spiritual) and provides education
• Initiates, updates, and maintains care plans and documentation
• Transcribes physician orders and gives factual, organized handoff reports
• Follows medication administration, safety, infection control, and patient rights policies
• Maintains and changes equipment, stocks supplies, and replaces O2 tanks
• Works two or more designated areas as required, and functions as a preceptor or resource person when needed
