RN/MS/Tele (Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical/Telemetry)

Assignment Overview

• Location: Seattle, Washington
• Start: ASAP
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights, 4x12 hours (19:00 to 7:30), 48 hours per week
• Ratio: 1:3-4 days, 1:4-5 nights
• Float: Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs
• Local candidates: Accepted, with no local radius rule

Patient Population and Setting

• Facility: Magnet, teaching, Level I trauma; 500 staffed beds
• Patients: Mostly medicine, cardiology, telemetry, and surgical/vascular patients. Also ortho, neuro/NS, gyn, and urology. Spectrum includes trauma and vulnerable populations.
• Scrubs: Any solid color; light blue provided on unit

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Washington
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience (2 years)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Phlebotomy
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• IV insertion skills
• Must be proficient in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Testing is required.
• Experience with Epic

Scheduling and Other Requirements

• Weekends: Every other weekend required, with flexibility for unit needs
• On-call: Not required
• Block schedule: Not accommodated
• First-time travelers: Not accepted (hard stop)
• Charting: Electronic charting system (hard stop)
