ICU

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in San Diego, California
• 26-week assignment
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
• 36 hours per week
• Start date needed by 11/30 due to backfilling
• Based in a float pool covering 5 hospitals
• Required to float to like units or lower acuity units as needed, excluding the ED
• Must work 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week cycle and at least one holiday, including the holiday weekend

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Critical Care Float experience within the last year
• Critical Care Float experience: 2 years
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or RQI
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or RQI
• NIHSS
• Experience with Epic

Compliance / Health Requirements

• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• N95 fit test within 1 year of start
• Tdap vaccination
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months of start
• Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella: 2 vaccines or titer, with boosters if titers are negative or equivocal
• Hepatitis B vaccination series, titer, or signed declination
• Drug screen within 1 year of start
• Flu vaccination or flu declination
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption

Additional Notes

• OR and L&D scrubs are provided by the facility
• EPIC or Cerner experience of at least 6 months is expected for RN candidates
