Overview

• Role: Scrub Tech, OR
• Specialty: Scrub Technician
• Location: Redding, California
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 10:45 AM to 7:15 PM, mid-shift
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Call: On call and call back required. Do not apply unless you will accept call.

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Workplace Violence Prevention (DCI/BVP), completed through an online training platform or the free CDC resource
• Driver's License

Onboarding and Compliance Requirements

• Identity and eligibility: Driver's license, state ID, or passport; Form I-9 (agency attestation accepted); education verification (diploma or transcripts if third-party verification is unavailable)
• Background and screening: National criminal background check within one year of start; OIG and SAM/EPLS checks (search "Excluded Individual" and show the search date); drug screen within 60 days of start, consisting of a 10-panel urine screen excluding THC plus a THC saliva test (California requirement)
• Health and immunizations:

  • Physical/health statement stating clear to work (annually, within 60 days of start)
  • TB test within one year of start
  • COVID-19: 2 vaccines and booster, or declination
  • MMR: proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B: record of 3 immunizations or immune titer (declination not accepted)
  • Influenza: vaccine or declination for November 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027 (declination not accepted)
  • Tdap: documented adult dose (declination not accepted)
  • Varicella: vaccination or titer showing immunity
  • Annual respirator fit test (3M 1860 or 3M Aura 1870+ masks)
  • Color-blind test (annually)
• Training: Sexual harassment prevention training (valid 2 years; available free online); facility orientation packet (optional)
• Credentials and paperwork: Resume reflecting recent work history; 2 professional references (1 from a manager or direct supervisor); signed job description (current within the year); agency attestation (completed last); facility badge photo (JPEG, headshot from shoulders up, plain background); name affidavit if name discrepancies exist (optional)
