CT Technologist (Computed Tomography)

Required Qualifications

• AHA BLS
• ARRT (R) (CT)
• ARRT (CT) Verification
• ARRT (R)
• CA Fluoro Permit
• CA Rad Tech License
• Fluoroscopy

Schedule

• Start time: Monday through Thursday, 0930-2000
• Call: 1800-0700 Monday through Friday and 24 hours Saturday and Sunday, with limited coverage (back-up for high-volume days, rarely used)
• Required call is in addition to Monday through Thursday shifts
• Call has a 30-minute response time
• Travelers work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's). Managers make the final scheduling decision. Holiday time off will be considered but is not guaranteed.

Job Details

• Outpatient scans scheduled at 13-18 per 10-hour shift, plus ED add-ons. Volume fluctuates.
• No prior experience is required on the equipment, which includes:

  • Siemens Somatom AS and Go.Top (secondary unit) for CT
  • Carestream X-ray systems
  • Portable X-ray units
  • Philips and GE Fluoro/X-ray rooms

Application Requirements

• Profiles are sent directly to the unit manager for review and interview.
• A copy of the driver's license is needed at submittal to validate legal name. The profile must match the name on a government-issued ID, with no middle initial or middle name.
• Candidates may not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any facility associated with the health system within the past year. Candidates who worked PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered.
