Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics

Location: Dyersburg, Tennessee Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

• Day shifts, 3x12-hour shifts (6:00 AM to 6:00 PM)
• 36 hours per week
• Weekend and holiday rotation required
• No on-call requirement

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Tennessee
• Registered Respiratory Therapist with 5 years of experience
• Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) issued by American Academy of Pediatrics
• Experience with Epic

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care in a busy Respiratory Therapy department
• Care for patients across the lifespan, from neonates through geriatrics
• Perform intubations across the neonatal through geriatric patient population
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) procedures, including arterial puncture and analysis
• Perform all aspects of respiratory care based on patient needs and department standards
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide safe, effective patient care

Hiring and Onboarding Requirements

• Interview required prior to offer
• Government-issued photo ID, carried on person during hours of service
• Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived or worked in the past 7 years, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start, updated with each contract renewal or extension
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Negative TB test (PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-spot) within 1 year of start; annual TB questionnaire required
• Measles, mumps, rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer
• Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer
• Hepatitis B: titer or vaccine series
• Flu vaccine during flu season (11/1 to 3/31); declinations and exemptions not accepted
• COVID vaccine or medical/religious exemption prior to start
• N95 fit test within 1 year of start, updated annually; PAPR not allowed
• Initial physical within 1 year of start
• Proof of 2 clinical references (hospital evaluation also accepted)
• Complete employment application and resume
• Skills checklist and competency exams, as applicable to profession
• Review and sign appearance standards prior to start
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. (E-Verify/I-9 required)
