Trauma/Neuro ICU RN

Location: Ventura, California Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks Specialty: Registered Nurse Work Setting: Surgical Intensive Care Unit Patient Population: Adolescents to geriatrics Ratio: 1:2 Float: Yes, within service line

Schedule

• Day shift, 3x12 hours (6:45 to 19:15)
• 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
• First-time travelers accepted if they meet minimum requirements

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Neuro ICU experience (2 years)
• Neuro ICU experience within the last year
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) or T-CAR (Trauma Care After Resuscitation)
• NIHSS certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with CRRT
• Shunt and fistula care experience
• Port access experience
• Experience with arterial lines
• Experience with central line management
• Experience with conscious or moderate sedation
• Acute stroke management experience
• Experience with external ventricular drains (EVD)
• Experience with therapeutic hypothermia
• ICP monitoring experience
• Experience with Cerner
