Location: Mount Vernon, Illinois Employment type: Travel/Contract Contract length: 13 weeks Shift: Night, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 to 7:30), 12 hours per day, 48 hours per week

Schedule and Logistics

• 3x12 or 4x12 schedules accepted
• Monday through Thursday, with occasional weekend shifts
• No on-call expectation
• Must be able to work 2 of 4 winter holidays, depending on scheduling needs
• First-time travelers accepted
• Navy scrubs

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with Epic

Certifications Determined by Unit

Skills

• Telemetry and cardiac telemetry

• Starting IVs and placing chest tubes
• Managing cardiac drips and performing bedside cardioversion

Onboarding Requirements

• Criminal background check within 12 months of start
• Negative drug screen within 12 months of start
• TB screening (PPD, QuantiFERON, or TSPOT) within 12 months of start
• TB questionnaire at start and annually
• Physical within 1 year of start, indicating good physical health
• Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season. Hard deadline is 12/5.
• Immunity documentation for rubeola, mumps, rubella, and varicella, as applicable to new candidates
• OSHA respirator clearance before start, followed by onsite fit testing during the first week of orientation
• Facility modules completed by the compliance due date
• Confidentiality and security agreement and standards of ethical conduct, signed before start
• Post-start orientation checklist and glucometer assessment, completed during orientation
