Speech Language Pathologist

Overview

Location: Syracuse, New York
Employment type: Long term
Schedule: Day shift, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Weekend requirement: One weekend every month
Setting: Inpatient weekends; acute care experience is desired

Required Qualifications

Master's Degree in Speech Pathology
NYS licensure
Clinical certification in Speech Pathology or its equivalent
Completion of clinical fellowship year
Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance

Responsibilities

Administer evaluations
Diagnose speech, language, cognition, communication, and swallowing disorders
Establish and provide treatment programs for individuals with deficits in speech, language, cognitive, voice, and/or swallowing disorders
Schedule patients for evaluation and treatment based on patient needs
Provide education to patients, families, and staff regarding speech, language, cognition, voice, and/or swallowing disorders
Participate in program development for the speech therapy discipline, PM&R department, and service line
