Staff Nurse, Oncology Infusion

Location: Truckee, CA Unit: Cancer Center Start Date: ASAP Contract Length: 13 weeks (potential extension based on FMLA)

Schedule

Days shift, 40 hours/week
4x10 schedule, Monday through Friday (one day off)
10-hour shifts
No call requirement

Responsibilities

Safe and competent administration of anti-neoplastic medications
Central line management
Response to medication reactions
Coordinating care with team members
Caseload of 5-7 patients/day

Equipment

PTE for medication safety
Infusion pumps (24-hour home pump, CADD pumps)
Vital signs

Required Qualifications

3-5 years of experience
Experience assessing critically ill patients in a high-acuity oncology, critical care, emergency, or equivalent setting
Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemo Immunotherapy Administration Certification
Expert IV therapy skills
Associate degree from a National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), or equivalent accredited school of nursing, including clinical experience with actual patients under qualified faculty supervision
CA RN License
BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA)
