Location: Alamogordo, New Mexico Employment Type: Travel, Full Time Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Summary

The nurse practices independently, provides routine and complex care, and makes assignments and delegates to other care providers to help manage the clinical situation.

Responsibilities

Meets facility competency expectations.
Provides nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation) consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice.
Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
Administers medications and treatments using the appropriate protocol, and monitors for side effects and effectiveness.
Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given.
Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New Mexico
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Labor and Delivery experience of at least 1 year, with experience within the last year
AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)
STABLE (Post-resuscitation/Pre-transport Stabilization Care of Sick Infants)
NRP
BLS issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS issued by the American Heart Association
