Endoscopy Registered Nurse

Location: San Francisco, California Employment type: Travel/Contract Contract length: 13 weeks Shift: Day (5x8 hours), 7:00 to 15:30 or 9:30 to 18:00 Hours: 8 per day, 40 per week Float scope: May float to other facilities in the system

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
Endoscopy experience (1 year)
Endoscopy experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment within the past 12 months
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or RQI
BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or RQI
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or RQI
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Experience in an outpatient setting
Experience in an inpatient setting

Onboarding Requirements

Pass/fail telemetry exam on the first day (2 attempts; a tele exam is also required for GI)
Background check with 7-year criminal search, completed within 30 days of start
Education verification by a third party (copy of diploma or transcript accepted)
Exclusion checks (EPLS/SAM and HHS/OIG) within 30 days of start
State license primary source verification within 30 days of start
Physical exam within 1 year of start, with physician statement of fitness signed by an MD, DO, NP, APRN, or PA
9-panel drug test (excluding THC), within 30 days of start and repeated every 2 years
Fit mask, with size and pass/fail result documented, completed within 1 year and updated annually
TB screening: negative QuantiFERON within 3 months before start, or a documented alternative for positive or PPD-allergic candidates
Immunizations or titers: Hepatitis B, MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), and varicella, each by titer or vaccine series
Tdap within the last 10 years (or declination with prior Tdap on file)
Flu vaccine or facility declination required for the 11/1 to 4/30 season
Two supervisory references from the most recent place of employment
Employment application and resume covering the last 7 years of work history, with gaps of 30 days or more explained
Work history verification for 7 years
