Mammography Tech

Required Qualifications

• Valid Mammography Technologist license in California
• At least 1 year of Mammography Technologist experience, obtained within the last year
• CRT Mammo certification
• 3-D imaging
• Digital Quality Assurance Procedures

Documents and Screenings

• Photo ID (driver's license or passport), with a clearly visible, color photo
• Background check within 90 days of start, including SSN trace, 7-year nationwide, county, and national criminal searches, FACIS Level 3, National Sex Offender, OIG, OFAC, and SAM.gov. International search is not required. Pending searches are not accepted.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 90 days of start
• Education verification: third-party verification of highest education, with minimum required education met and no pending status
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgment
• Badge photo (passport style, no filters) and facility badge photo request form
• Facility competencies and new employee orientation modules, completed on the first day of work. Assignments are terminated if not completed within 14 days of start.
• Employment application and current resume covering the last 7 years of employment
• Work history verification covering the past 3 years
• Medical and employee information release form

Health Requirements

• Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by an MD, DO, PA, NP, or APRN, stating the candidate is in good health, free from communicable diseases, and without physical limitations to perform job duties
• Fit test within 90 days of start, using an acceptable mask (3M 8210, 3M 1860, 3M 1860S, or 3M 1860R). Required for all patient-facing positions. PAPR accepted for a failed fit test with approval.
• Tdap within 10 years of start, or a signed declination. TD is not accepted.
• TB screening: IGRA within 90 days, or 2 PPDs (first within a year, second within 90 days of start), updated annually. TB questionnaire required annually.
• Measles, mumps, and rubella: proof of 2 MMR vaccinations or a positive IgG titer
• Hepatitis B: positive titer, or proof of the 3-dose series or a signed declination
• Varicella: proof of 2 vaccinations or a positive IgG titer
• Oral saliva drug screen within 30 days of start, covering the required panels. Rapid tests are not accepted.
• Color blind exam (Ishihara) within 90 days of start
• Flu vaccination or declination during flu season
