Med Rehab RN (Travel/Contract)

• Location: Charleston, West Virginia
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Facility: Short-term acute care, Level 1 trauma center, major teaching hospital, 855 staffed beds
• Parking: Parking garage free for travelers
• Scrub color: Royal blue/white (or combination)

Unit Overview

• Unit: Med Rehab, 24 beds
• Patient population: Cerebrovascular disease, traumatic brain injury, amputees, spinal cord injuries, deconditioning, neurological diseases; diagnoses include SCI, TBI, stroke, amputation, neuromuscular disease, and severe deconditioning related to a cardiac or respiratory event
• Care team: Physiatrist, NP, nurse, 2 therapists (depending on need), and social worker, who collaborate on each patient's plan
• Therapy: Patients receive about 3 hours of therapy per day, Monday through Friday
• Length of stay: About 2 weeks
• Ratios: Days 1:4/5; nights 1:5/6

Schedule

• Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week; guaranteed hour options to be discussed with the manager
• Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts, 7A–7P, weekdays, with every other weekend required (the shift field lists 4x12 hours, 7:00–19:00)
• Call: No call requirement
• Float: RN may be floated within scope to meet facility needs when required
• Time off and block schedules: No RTO restrictions; include requests on the application and discuss during the interview

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in West Virginia
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Rehabilitation experience (1 year), completed within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Valid driver's license
