CCU RN (Intensive Care Unit)

Location: Corbin, Kentucky Employment Type: Clinical, Nursing (Full-time) Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

7P-7A shifts, 12 hours each (36 hours per week)
May require on-call shifts at times
Requires weekend and holiday work

Required Qualifications

Active, valid, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky
Minimum of 1 year of CCU (Coronary Care) experience, completed within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Role Summary

The RN provides direct patient care on the unit, including assessments, treatments, admissions, transfers, and discharges. Responsibilities include patient and family education, care coordination, individualized treatment planning, delegation and oversight of team members, and participation in unit quality improvement activities.

Medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, and use of medical equipment and technology
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and task prioritization in a fast-paced environment
Clear communication with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families
