Ultrasound Tech

Location: Bremerton, Washington Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Type: Traveler Shift: Days, 4 x 10-hour shifts (40 hours/week), 0715-1745

Work Locations

• Primary location: St. Michael Imaging Center in Bremerton
• The traveler rotates among four outpatient imaging centers in Bremerton, Port Orchard, Poulsbo, and Silverdale, all about 15 minutes apart
• The assigned location is known ahead of the shift

Schedule Preferences

• First choice of days: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday
• Second choice: Thursday through Sunday
• Weekend requirement: Yes
• Holiday requirement: No
• Call or standby: None

Duties and Department Details

• Exam types: all general exams, all three-trimester OB, and limited vascular (carotid, arm/leg venous doppler)
• Average volume: 12+ exams per 10-hour day
• Work is limited to ultrasound; the traveler may be assigned to any of the imaging centers
• Equipment: GE Logiq E10, GE Logiq 9, and Siemens S2000 ultrasound machines across 3 locations
• Software: Epic EMR and Sectra PACS
• Radiologist available by phone 24/7
• Does not use Registered Radiology Assistants (RRAs)
• Scrubs: personal scrubs, no color requirement
• Department-specific orientation provided

Required Qualifications

• Current BLS certification
• ARDMS certification (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography)
• OB confidence and skills

Preferred Qualifications

• OB certification through ARDMS (OB/GYN)
