Role: Certified Surgical First Assist
Schedule: 06:45 - 17:15, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Assignment length: 13 weeks
Setting: Robotics

Required Qualifications

Valid First Assist Technician license in Tennessee
First Assist Technician (1 year of experience)
First Assist Technician experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
Driver's License

Onboarding / Compliance Requirements

Ascension Core Competencies: HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA Topics; completed within a year of start, updated every 3 years, minimum 80% passing score, only 2 attempts allowed.
Ascension Surgical Technologist Contract Worker Onboarding Education Attestation: pre-hire modules must be completed prior to clearance.
MMR: documented proof of two MMR vaccines or positive IGG titer; no declinations accepted.
Fit Test: required for all travelers; preferred prior to start, can be completed onsite; updated annually.
Hepatitis B: documentation of vaccination series completion or declination.
Influenza Vaccine: exemptions/declinations accepted, but candidate must wear a mask at all times.
Health Statement: statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually.
Driver's License/State ID: must not be expired and must show front/back.
2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot): TB testing and questionnaire requirements as stated.
Varicella: documented proof of immunity/vaccination or provider verification; no declinations accepted.
Tdap: valid for 10 years from administered date; no declinations or attestations accepted.
