RN Emergency Room – Pediatrics

Location: Austin, Texas Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 – 19:15

Job Description

Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Responsibilities include:

Implementing and monitoring patient care plans
Monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition
Serving as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
Noting and carrying out physician and nursing orders
Assessing and coordinating patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Pediatrics ER - Emergency Room (2 years of experience)
Pediatrics ER - Emergency Room experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
PALS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
NRP
TNCC
NIHSS
CPI
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Driver's License

Optional

BLS, PALS, ACLS, NRP, TNCC, NIH Certification, and CPI listed as optional at submission (they become required for onboarding)
Unit-specific checklist (to be uploaded by the unit leader within a week of onboarding)
Name change documentation, if applicable
Positive PPD with negative chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire
