Location: Grand Junction, Colorado

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

Nights, 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (1900-0730), 36 hours per week
Weekend work required
On call: No (per shift details). The description also says the nurse may be required to be placed on call during a regularly scheduled shift.

Role Summary

Performs independent and delegated nursing functions under the state Board of Nursing standards
Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care
Collects and assesses health data, provides health teaching and counseling, and monitors therapy and treatment plans
Executes delegated medical functions, refers patients for further evaluation or treatment, and documents per hospital and regulatory guidelines
May be required to float to other departments (within scope of competency and qualifications) based on business need

Requirements

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
2 years of CVICU experience
CVICU experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
NIHSS certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience as a Registered Nurse
Bachelor's degree in Nursing
