Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico Employment Type: Travel Start: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 36 per week Shift: Nights, 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM Unit Size: 168 beds

Role Overview

• Performs moderate and high complexity laboratory tests accurately and efficiently, with timely reporting of results and appropriate documentation.
• Performs diagnostic testing on patient samples to aid physicians in diagnosing and monitoring disease states.
• Follows standardized procedures, helps prepare samples for testing, and analyzes results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits.

Required Qualifications

• Medical Technologist experience within the last year
• Experience as a Medical Technologist in an acute care setting (0 years of experience required)
• Experience on the chemistry bench
• Experience on the hematology bench
• Experience with urine studies
• Serology experience
• Experience in the blood bank
• Bachelor's degree in medical technology, or in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or a passing score on the Clinical Laboratory Technology Proficiency examination approved by HHS (HEW)
• Certification as a medical technologist: ASCP Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Technologist (AMT), or Medical Laboratory Technologist (AAB)
