Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Louisiana
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Telemetry (1 year of experience)
Telemetry experience within the last year
BLS
ACLS

Schedule

12-hour shifts (7-7)
Every other weekend
Holidays required
36 hours per week

Float Scope

All nurses float to other units as needed

Clinical Details

Patient ratio: 1:6
Procedures performed on the unit include PICC line removal and vas cath/temp cath removal
Advanced skill needed: Telemetry rhythm interpretation

Unit Staffing / Support

2 stations
2 unit secretaries from 0600-2200 daily
Patient care techs are available at all times, with amount and ratio varying by census

Additional Notes

Ceil Blue Scrubs required
Hospital hygiene/dress code policy must be followed
