You'll play a critical role in the treatment of cancer and other diseases, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accuracy throughout the therapy process.As a Radiation Therapist, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:<ul> <li>Administer prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts using radiation therapy equipment</li> <li>Position patients accurately and comfortably for each treatment session</li> <li>Verify treatment settings and patient identity before delivering therapy</li> <li>Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and comfort</li> <li>Use imaging technology (e.g., CT, X-rays) to guide accurate treatment delivery</li> <li>Document treatment details and maintain accurate patient records</li> <li>Communicate effectively with physicians, dosimetrists, and other team members</li> <li>Educate patients and families on procedures, side effects, and care during treatment</li> <li>Inspect, maintain, and calibrate radiation therapy equipment regularly</li> <li>Follow strict radiation safety protocols for both patients and staff</li></ul>The ideal candidate must have at least one year of experience as a Radiation Therapist.
