Registered Nurse PCU

Location: Beaver Dam, Wisconsin Assignment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

• Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 18:30 to 07:00
• 3x12 hours per week (36 hours/week)
• Weekend rotation and every other holiday
• Standby call as needed
• Will consider a 4x12 schedule if working more weekends

Clinical Scope

• Occasional ICU patients will be seen.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
• At least 2 years of PCU (Progressive Care Unit) experience
• PCU (Progressive Care Unit) experience within the last year
• Med Surg experience
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Background check: Completed within 90 days before the start date, including SSN trace, county and nationwide searches, and sex offender registry. Monthly monitoring against federal exclusion lists (EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG) applies after hire.
• Wisconsin requirements: Wisconsin BID form and Caregiver Screening results, both required on file for all candidates.
• License and national verification: Primary source license verification and Nursys verification within 30 days of start.
• Tuberculosis: TB questionnaire updated annually. Accepted TB tests include an IGRA blood test within 12 months of start, or a two-step TB skin test. Candidates with a history of a positive TB test need documentation and a negative chest X-ray.
• Vaccines: Documented MMR and varicella immunity (vaccine series or positive titer). Hepatitis B vaccine series with titer, or a facility-specific declination form. Exemptions for MMR, varicella, and flu are available through facility forms.
• Flu vaccination: Required during flu season (09/21 to 04/13) for candidates starting on or after 9/21. Vaccine or an approved medical/religious exemption must be on file before start.
• Other: Employment application, skills checklist annually, two clinical references within the last 3 years, E-Verify, and a passport-style photo for badging.
