Registered Nurse: Perinatal Float Pool Nights (Labor and Delivery)
Location: Portland, Oregon Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Night, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM) Hours: 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
Role Overview
- Provide intrapartum, antepartum, and newborn care to low- and at-risk populations.
- Float between Labor & Delivery and Mother Baby Units as needed, potentially every 4 hours.
- Work in the Perinatal Newborn Float Pool, which supports women's services from labor and birth through postpartum recovery.
Unit Details
- Labor & Delivery: 12 labor rooms, 4-bed triage, 3 operating rooms, 2-bay PACU
- Mother Baby Unit: 27 beds
- Labor & Delivery is a high-risk unit that also sees high-risk antepartum patients.
- Triage sees patients from 20 weeks gestation through 6 weeks postpartum.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oregon
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Post Partum experience
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
- Experience with Epic
