Basic medical/surgical relevant and current experience

Assignment Details

Float pool between Med/Onc, 2 surgical units, and 2 medical units
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6
Total care; no PCAs
No tele; only occasional strip reading
Remote tele monitoring
Common patient types include colorectal, hepatobiliary, bariatric, general, and ortho surgical services, plus medical conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, COPD, kidney, and GI conditions
No titrating drips required
Charge nurse is present each shift and takes an assignment
Nurse aids/patient care techs are present; ratios vary
Respiratory support is readily available; nasal cannula used on floors
Staff are assigned to needed areas
Floating is to any Med/Surg pod
Weekend requirement: every other weekend
No holiday requirement
No call or standby requirement
Scrub color: navy
Unit/department orientation: 3 shifts
Start dates only: 10/12 or 10/26
