Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
Unit: CVOR RN
Facility: Penrose Hospital

Required Qualifications

BLS
Open Heart experience and/or Endovascular experience

Preferred

ACLS
Holiday availability, if available

Schedule / Call

Shift time: 0630-1700
Call: one weekday per week
Weekend call: one weekend per month, Friday through Sunday, in rotation with staff
Call response time: 30 minutes

Unit Details

16 suites, including 3 CVOR suites
Average volume: 30 cases per day, including 1-2 hearts per day
Common cases: Open heart, TAVR, Open/Endovascular, Thoracic
RN scrubbing is limited to holding the heart and helping close the chest
EMR: Epic

Floating

May float to General OR, PRN
If needed, may float within Zone 1: PEN, SFH, SFI, SMC, STM

Additional Information

Hospital-provided scrubs: light blue
One week of orientation
Clinicians should be in state for the week of orientation, even if first-day modules are remote
Radius: 60 miles
DL must be submitted
