Overview
- Travel position in Nashville, Tennessee
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Tennessee
- Med Surg (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Unit Details
- 36-bed surgical unit
- Typical nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5
- Floating may include medical-surgical units
Clinical Focus
- Post-op surgical care
- Wound care, including wound vac maintenance and dressing changes
- Foley catheter care and continuous bladder irrigation
- Ostomy appliance changes and maintenance
- Nasogastric tube insertion and suction
- TPN
- Blood administration
- Central line care and dressing changes
Preferred Experience
- Background in post-op surgical areas such as vascular, bariatric, urology, general surgery, or colorectal
