Overview

Travel RN role in a pediatric step-down unit.
Shift: 7P–7A.
Contract length: 13 weeks.
Hours per week: 36.

Unit Details

Peds Step-Down-4CN / (643)
4th Floor, C Building
36 beds, all private rooms with parent sleeping accommodations
Staffing includes day and night charge coverage, PCTs/CNAs, and occasional Clinical Nurse Coordinator support
Patient mix includes step-down and basic care pediatric patients
The unit does not take CPAP, BiPAP, or trach/vents; those go to PICU
The unit takes everything except trauma and burns

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Colorado
Pediatric PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
Pediatric PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
BLS
NRP
PALS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Pediatrics experience

Preferred Qualifications

Prior Meditech experience
Candidates with multiple years of traveling experience are first considered

Scheduling / Assignment Notes

New travelers on their first contract will not be placed on day shift and must be willing to work nights
Scheduling flexibility is emphasized for travelers
