MRI Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Lakeland, Florida Setting: Outpatient clinic Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 12 weeks Shift: Day, 3x12-hour shifts (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), 7:00 to 19:30 Hours: 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Minimum three years of experience as an MRI Technologist
• MRI Technologist experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or RQI
• ARRT (MR) certification
• Experience working with Trauma patients
• Experience working with Neuro patients
• Experience working with Orthopedics patients
• Experience with GE imaging equipment
• IV insertion skills

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS): American Heart Association (Provider or Instructor) or American Red Cross; RQI accepted
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS): American Heart Association (Provider or Instructor) or American Red Cross; RQI accepted
• Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (NRP): AHA/AAP only
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM): Intermediate AWHONN required for Labor & Delivery

Pre-Start Requirements

• Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived, worked, or attended school for the past 7 years, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
• Florida AHCA Level II fingerprint clearance on file before start; travelers cannot start with fingerprints pending
• Education verification (diploma or transcript accepted)
• Work history verification covering 7 years or last 3 employers in the profession
• Nursys verification prior to start (as applicable)
• Primary source license verification
• National tech certification verification
• E-Verify required
• Drug screen (10-panel) within 30 days of start; a new screen is required after a gap of more than 30 days between assignments
• Physical exam within 6 months of start
• Tuberculosis test (QuantiFERON or T-SPOT) within a year of start; PPD not accepted
• Immunity documentation for measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella (vaccines, titer, or documented disease history/declination as applicable)
• Tetanus/diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years of start for specified units, including Labor & Delivery, NICU, Pediatrics, and Radiology
• Flu vaccine or medical/religious exemption required after the 10/1 flu season (2026-27)
• Fit test for N95 mask within a year of start, updated annually
• Affidavit of Good Moral Character, notarized in wet ink
• Confidentiality agreement
• Handbook attestation form and graded quiz
