Medical Oncology RN

Role

• Medical Oncology RN on nights
• Travel/contract assignment in Columbus, Ohio
• Unit staffing goal is 1:4, with a possible ratio of 1:5
• Floating is required to other MedSurg Oncology units
• No set or blocked scheduling
• Weekends are variable based on unit needs

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Telemetry interpretation
• Telemetry monitoring
• RN license verification within 30 days of start
• NURSYS verification
• Emergency Contact Form
• Background check within 90 days of start
• Ohio BCI/FBI fingerprinting
• Education accreditation confirmation for nursing program
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
• Unit-Specific Competency Exam
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam

Unit Details

• Cares for adults and geriatrics
• Common diagnoses include breast cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer, pancreatic cancer, colon cancer, esophageal cancer, and encounter for antineoplastic chemotherapy
• Focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls
• Cares for patients with true med surg issues

Schedule

• Night shift
• 3x12 hours
• 19:00 to 7:30
• 36 hours per week
