Overview

- Shift: 06:45 - 19:15
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Unit: Critical Care Float Pool
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Critical Care Float (2 years of experience)
- Critical Care Float experience within the last year
- CVICU experience
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS
- NIHSS
- Driver's License
Optional Items
- Unit-specific checklist, optional for onboarding but must be uploaded by the unit leader within one week
- Current license verification (optional submission item)
- Positive PPD with negative chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire, as an alternative TB documentation option
- Legal name change document, if applicable
