Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical NOCs

Location: Waukesha, Wisconsin Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Orientation Date: 12/15

Schedule

• Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 12-hour NOCs
• Rotation: Every other weekend, plus holiday rotation
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week. Hours are not guaranteed the week of orientation. Holidays may be unguaranteed when the unit is closed.
• On Call/Call Back: None

Unit

• Unit: 5 Med unit, 53 beds
• Patient Ratio: 1:7-8 is possible

Required Qualifications

• Licensure: WI or Compact license
• Certifications: BLS, attached at submittal
• Experience:

  • 3-5 years of medical-surgical experience
  • Short-term acute care hospital experience
  • Experience with insulin and cardiac drips
  • At least 1 traveler contract completed
• Skills: Must be able to read telemetry
• Vaccination: COVID-19 vaccine required unless a medical or religious exemption applies

Float Scope

• May float to Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital, another facility in the system, and like units as needed, based on census.
• Will not be asked to work outside clinical skills unless approved by the employee, unit manager, shift advisor, and staffing agency.
