Registered Nurse - Oncology

Overview

• Employment type: Travel
• Location: Pikeville, KY
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Start date: ASAP
• Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 12-hour days (no blocked schedule requests)
• Guaranteed hours: 48 per week (will not accept 36)
• Weekend/holiday requirement: Every other weekend
• On call/call back: N/A
• Scrub color: Black
• Radius rule: 75-mile radius rule applies

Required Qualifications

• Kentucky or Compact RN license
• Chemo certification
• AHA BLS
• AHA ACLS
• NIHSS certification
• EKG test, completed during the compliance process
• Minimum 2 years of oncology experience
• Level I or II trauma experience
• COVID vaccine, unless a medical or religious declination is accepted (if declined, weekly testing is required at the traveler/agency expense and verification)
• Hepatitis B vaccine (no declination allowed)

Preferred Qualifications

• Chemo certification

Float Scope

• Will float throughout all in-patient areas within oncology
• May be tasked as an aide if assistance is needed

Other Information

• Charting experience: EPIC (software familiarity)
• Ideal traits: hard worker, resilient, manages change well, social
• Guaranteed hours are not assured the week of orientation; traveler is guaranteed set hours per week except during holidays when the unit is closed.
