Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Nebraska
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Driver's License

Unit Details

PCU
35 beds
Typical patient population includes adults and geriatrics with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, diabetes, and continuous EEG monitoring needs
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4-5
Drips are titrated on the unit

Schedule Expectations

Every other weekend
Every third holiday
No call or standby
Floating may be required to medical floors, ICU, or rehab

Orientation

First week is onboarding
1-2 additional days of unit orientation

Work Environment

Fast-paced unit

Important Notes

Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas
Candidates must be outside the 50-mile radius
Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity
RTO must be submitted upfront and is limited to 7 days or less for the full contract
