Registered Nurse – Infusion

Location: West Hollywood, California Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks Schedule: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (40 hours/week), between 9:00 and 23:30 Housing: Available (at additional cost)

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN license at time of submission (pending licenses not accepted)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• 2 years of infusion experience
• Infusion experience within the last year
• 2 years of experience, including oncology (ONC) experience
• One completed travel assignment (first-time travelers not accepted)
• Current BLS issued by American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or RQI
• Current ONS/ONCC certification
• Experience with Epic

Other Listed Certifications

Required based on the unit description: ACLS, PALS, NRP, Chemotherapy (CHEMO), TNCC, EFM, NIH Stroke Certification, and CPI. AHA and ARC are accepted for ACLS, BLS, and PALS, and RQI is also acceptable.

Pre-Start Requirements

• Criminal background check within 6 months of start, updated annually. Background checks with open, deferred, or pending misdemeanor or felony charges are not accepted. Traffic offenses are exceptions, and DUIs are reviewed case by case.
• Drug screen (DS panel) within 1 year of start. Lab work must be completed within 48 hours of signing the contract.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming the ability to perform essential job functions.
• TB test (PPD, QuantiFERON, or T-SPOT) within 1 year of start. Candidates with a history of a positive result need proof, a chest X-ray within 5 years, and an annual TB questionnaire.
• Measles, mumps, and rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or a positive titer. A negative or equivocal titer requires a 2-dose MMR booster series.
• Varicella: 2 varicella vaccines or a positive titer. A negative titer requires proof of virus history or a 2-dose booster series.
• Hepatitis B vaccine series, titer, or declination.
• Fit test (N95 mask) within 1 year, updated annually.
• Competency exam: 80% minimum passing score, 2 attempts allowed.
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam: 3 attempts allowed, plus an on-site exam at orientation. Some units complete an online EKG assessment during orientation.
• Medication test during orientation (not pass/fail).
• Fire card: course taken onsite during orientation, required within the first 6 months.
• Modules must be completed before start.
• Employment application, 2 professional references (1 must be supervisory), and a signed mandatory immunization acknowledgment prior to start.
