RN - Whole House Float ICU/PCU/MS Float

Overview

Travel/contract RN role in Roanoke, Virginia.
Night shift: 3x12s, 6:45 PM–7:15 AM.
Contract length: 13 weeks.
First-time travelers accepted.
Locals accepted.

Unit / Float Scope

Must be comfortable working all ICU, PCU, and MS units.
May float 2–3 times per shift, with staffing re-evaluated every 4 hours.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia.
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
Critical Care Float experience within the last year.
2 years of Critical Care Float experience.
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association.
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association.
NIHSS.
Experience with Epic.
Experience in IV therapy.
Experience in PICC line management.
Experience in central line care and management.
Experience in arterial line management.
Experience in blood product administration.
Experience in trach management.
Experience with non-invasive airway support including nasal cannula, CPAP/BiPAP, ventilator management, and chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac).
Experience with continuous IV sedation.
Experience with emergency medications.
Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips.

Scheduling Requirements

May be required to work every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block.
Must work one holiday per 13-week contract.

Additional Notes

Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.
