Role summary

Emergency Room Registered Nurse providing care for patients with acute illnesses, injuries, and life-threatening emergencies in a fast-paced emergency setting.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Tennessee
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
1 year of Emergency Department experience
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
PALS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
MOAB
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications

PALS certification may be required
TNCC certification may be preferred or required
Previous emergency department, critical care, or acute-care nursing experience

Clinical focus

Rapid assessment and triage
Monitoring vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and neurological status
Medication, IV fluid, blood product, and IV access management
Emergency procedures including CPR, trauma resuscitation, intubation, and wound care
Care for medical, surgical, cardiac, neurological, psychiatric, pediatric, and trauma-related emergencies
