Dialysis Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Overview

• Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Variable days; day shift, 3x12 hours (11:00 to 23:00)
• Hours: 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
• Patient ratio: 1:2

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Louisiana
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Dialysis experience (2 years)
• Dialysis experience within the last year
• Experience in an inpatient setting
• ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience with Epic

Compliance and Onboarding Requirements

• Background check: Completed within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived, worked, or attended school in the past 7 years, and updated annually
• Exclusion screening: EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG within 30 days of start
• E-Verify: Required
• Government-issued photo ID: Name must match all candidate documentation
• Drug testing: Completed within 30 days of start
• Employment application: Must include 7 years of work history with no gap longer than 30 days
• Physical exam: Not required
• Tuberculosis: Negative TB test (QuantiFERON, T-spot, or two-step skin test) within 3 months of start; TB questionnaire required annually
• Tdap: Required within 10 years
• MMR (measles, mumps, rubella): Two vaccines or a positive titer required
• Varicella: Two vaccines or a positive titer required
• Hepatitis B: Vaccine series, titer, or signed declination within 12 months of start
• Influenza: Documentation required October 1 through March 31; all new starts beginning 10/1 must have documentation on file by 10/31; unvaccinated candidates must wear a mask at all times
• Exemptions and declinations: Medical (physician statement) and religious (personal statement) exemptions accepted, using the required forms
