Registered Nurse - Step Down

Location: Thomasville, Georgia Employment Type: Travel/Contract Unit: CPU Contract Length: 13 weeks, with possible extension Start Date: 3 weeks from offer Shift: Night, 3x12 hours (19:00 to 07:00) Hours: 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week Schedule Notes: EOW, Holidays, Minimal to no RTO (must be included on submission)

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Georgia
• Stepdown experience (3 years)
• Stepdown experience within the last year
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Valid driver's license
• IV insertion skills
• Telemetry
• FM (Intermediate/Advanced)

Submission and Clearance Requirements

• Copy of driver's license and Nursys update must be included in the submission to verify residence and determine travel or local rate eligibility.
• Local residents living 31 to 50 miles from the facility are accepted at the local rate. Travelers living less than 30 miles from the facility are not accepted.
• Royal Blue scrubs are required and not provided.
• Background check: 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually. Must cover all locations lived or worked in the past 7 years, including SSN trace, county, national sex offender, and nationwide checks.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start, updated for each renewal or extension.
• Third-party education verification required for all candidates. Transcript or diploma may be accepted in lieu of EDV with special facility approval.
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start.
• Tuberculosis: QuantiFERON or T-SPOT within 30 days of start. PPDs are not accepted. Candidates with a past positive need proof of past positive, a chest X-ray within 2 years of start (dated after the proof), and a TB questionnaire within 30 days of start. A TB questionnaire is required for all candidates within 30 days of start.
• Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella: positive titer or 2 vaccines. A declination form is acceptable for negative or equivocal titers.
• Hepatitis B: titer, series, or declination.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually.
• Tdap is required only for L&D and Mother & Baby.
• Flu vaccine is required during flu season (9/3 through 3/31) unless a medical or religious exemption is approved by the facility. Deadline is November 21st. Declinations are not accepted. Flu vaccines are available through the hospital pharmacy.
• Two recent supervisor or manager-level references, verified within 12 months of start. Charge RN references are accepted but not preferred. Unsatisfactory references may result in termination.
• Competency exams and Core Parts I through III must be updated annually.
• Current forms: IS115 (required for all candidates) and IS119 (required at Archbold Memorial within 24 hours of signing, updated annually). Both require wet ink or DocuSign signatures.
• Photo for badge must be submitted within 24 hours of signing, in JPEG format, following the facility's photo requirements.
• Facility modules (HealthStream) must be completed before the first day.
• Fit test is completed onsite at no cost to the worker.
