• Unit: Tele - 4West
• Bed count: 22 beds
• Patient population: Stroke, TIA, Seizure, TBI, mixed Med Tele

Required Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in specialty
• Active BLS
• Active ACLS
• Active NIHSS
• Active CA license
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Must be able to pass a dysrhythmia exam

Preferred

• Open to first time travelers

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts
• 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule
• Self-scheduling by seniority
• Shift trades available
• No block scheduling

Float / Coverage

• Float to IMCU (2West) or Med/Surg Departments
• First to float

Additional Details

• No call or standby requirement
• Navy scrubs
• 1 shift of unit orientation
• RN titration of drips is not required
• Common drips include Heparin gtt, Amiodarone ftt, Cardizem gtt, and DKA set rate or protocol
• Central telemetry monitoring with 2 Monitor Techs
• 1-2 Unit Aides
• Bipap, Cpap, and HFNC used on the unit; no vents
• COVID vaccine required
