MRI Technologist

Location: Lincoln, Nebraska Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Days, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• ARRT (MR) certification (Certified MRI Technologist)
• BLS certification
• Contract MR techs must be MR certified and credentialed
• GE magnet experience (the department has GE 3T and GE 1.5T scanners)
• Valid driver's license at submittal, used to verify the candidate lives outside the 50-mile radius
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility and may not hold full-time, part-time, or PRN employment with any affiliated facility of the health system
• No artificial nails. Refusal to remove nails will lead to termination of contract.
• Return-to-office (RTO) must be requested upfront, allowing 7 or fewer days per 13-week contract. Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submission.

Preferred Qualifications

• X-ray or CT experience

Department Details

• Department: MRI Tech
• MRI rooms: 2 rooms (GE 3T and GE 1.5T)
• Float scope: CT, X-ray, OR, Endo, and ED
• Systems: EMR (EPIC) and PACS (McKesson). These are software familiarity, not credentials.
• Radiation badge: Provided by the client
• Orientation: 1-2 shifts, unit/department specific

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, rotating 8-hour shifts
• Shared on-call, with every third weekend on call
• Call or standby is required (varied), and holiday coverage is required
• Weekend requirements vary
• The supervisor creates the schedule
