RN Interventional Radiology

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin Assignment type: Long-term assignment (LTA) Contract length: 13 to 26 weeks

Schedule

• Shift: 07:30 to 17:00, 4 days per week
• Call: Based on department needs, currently 1-2 weekday call shifts per week and every 3rd weekend
• Holidays: 2 per contract
• Float: May need to float onsite within skill set, or to sites within 40 miles if needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid Wisconsin RN license in hand at time of submission
• RN certification
• Interventional Radiology experience: minimum 3 years, with Interventional Radiology experience within the last year
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Driver's license or state ID (must not be expired)

Onboarding Requirements

• Testing and competency:

  • Specialty exam: minimum 80% (or national benchmark), two attempts maximum, completed before first assignment and updated every 3 years
  • Core competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics): completed within one year of start, updated every 3 years, minimum 80%, two attempts maximum
  • EKG exam: minimum 80%, two attempts maximum, updated every 3 years
  • EMR test-out with signed attestation
  • StatStrip pre-hire modules, required annually
  • Pre-hire onboarding education (6 hours) with attestation uploaded by the agency
  • Nursing contract worker onboarding, completed onsite
• Health and immunizations:

  • Color vision screening, updated every 3 years
  • Health statement or physical exam before first assignment, updated annually
  • Two MMR vaccines or positive IgG titer (no declinations)
  • Two Varicella vaccines, serologic immunity, or documented history (no declinations)
  • Hepatitis B vaccine series or signed declination
  • Tdap, valid 10 years (no declinations or attestations)
  • Influenza vaccine or declination; a mask is required at all times if declined (flu season October 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027)
  • TB screening: two-step PPD or IGRA, plus annual TB questionnaire
  • Respirator fit test (3M 1860 Regular, 3M 1860 Small, or 3M 1870+ for Wisconsin), updated annually
  • 11-panel drug screen within 30 days before start, updated annually
• Background and verification:

  • Criminal background check, including Social Security trace, OIG, and National Sex Offender searches; updated yearly
  • EPLS check within 90 days of start
  • Education verification within 90 days of start, with official transcripts if verification fails (diplomas not accepted)
  • Third-party employment verification for the past 7 years, updated yearly
  • Confirmation of assignment on agency letterhead, updated with each extension
• Other:
