ER RN (Registered Nurse, Emergency Room)

Location: La Crosse, Wisconsin Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 12 weeks Start Date: ASAP Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM) Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

Required Qualifications

Wisconsin RN License
AHA BLS
AHA ACLS
AHA PALS
ENPC and Sedation certification
Minimum 2 years of experience as an ER RN
Charting experience

Preferred Qualifications

SANE trained
NIHSS

Unit Overview

Level II trauma center
Just over 40 beds: 10-bed UC and 35-bed ER, including 5 hallway beds
Busy ED and tertiary care facility for rural hospitals in the area
Not a burn center
Treats all age ranges
Patient ratio: 4 to 1 maximum

Schedule and Assignment Details

Float requirements: None
On-call/call-back requirements: None
Weekend/holiday requirements: Every third weekend and holiday rotation
Guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays when the unit is closed
Orientation week is not guaranteed
8-hour orientation
Medical compliance must be started within 48 hours of an accepted offer, or within 24 hours for a quick start
