RRT - Respiratory Therapy

Employment Type: Travel Location: Largo, Florida Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 36

Unit Details

  • Unit: Respiratory Therapy
  • Unit Location: Largo, 1st floor, Main hospital building
  • Beds: 290
  • Staffing: 21 total staff
    • Day shift: 6 therapists and a supervisor
    • Night shift: 4 therapists
  • Equipment: Servo and 840
  • Scrub Color (RT): Gray
  • Parking: Park in the garage on the third and fourth floors (AM and PM shifts)
  • Float Scope: The West campus psych/rehab department is a float unit.

Schedule

  • Works every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees.
  • Scheduled according to facility policy.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in Florida
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 1 year of experience
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) experience within the last year
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • NBRC
  • NRP
  • PALS
  • Ventilator management

Typical Procedures

  • Neb treatments
  • ABGs from A-lines and sticks
  • Assisting in intubation, codes, and rapid responses
