Job Overview
- Location: Omaha, Nebraska
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Hours per week: 36
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Nebraska
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ECMO ICU (2 years of experience)
- ECMO ICU experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Cardio Help experience
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience
- Pediatrics CVICU experience
Unit Details
- Float assignment includes NICU, PICU, and CVPICU
- Care may include ECMO patients on VA ECMO or VV ECMO
- If no ECMO patients are present, the nurse works as a bedside ICU nurse caring for cardiac, non-cardiac, or NICU patients as needed
- Every 3rd weekend required
- Patient ratio: 1:2

- Medication/pharmacology competency exam
- Color blind testing
- Unit competency exam
- Physical exam within 12 months before start
- Fit test within 12 months before start
- Tdap vaccination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray
- MMR immunity for measles, mumps, and rubella
- Hepatitis B immunity or vaccine series
- Varicella immunity
- Drug screen within 12 months before start
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption, if applicable
- 2 professional references within 2 years of start
- Skills checklist updated annually
- Nebraska adult and child services registry search results
- Background check covering the past 7 years
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check
- HHS/OIG check
